Professor Lakin was formerly associated with the New York Board of Law Examiners as a writer and grader of New York Bar Exam essays. He wrote model essay answers, designed the grading scheme and graded thousands of bar exam essays. He knows what candidates do right and what they do wrong. He also wrote New York multiple-choice questions for many NYS Bar Exam subjects.
Professor Lakin currently teaches an essay writing workshop for Bar Bri Bar Review. He has also designed and teaches the Foreign Attorney Review and Mini-Review for Bar Bri Bar Review. In addition, Professor Lakin teaches a Supplemental Bar Review Program at Fordham Law School and CUNY Law School and has also done so at Hofstra Law School and on behalf of PALS. He is an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School
